he has turned out to be quite the little hipster baby. such a cute family. we had a great session in downtown memphis, and noah had his game face on for sure.  he performed beautifully; i couldn't have asked for a better subject.  we were able to revisit some of the sites we used for amanda's maternity session. i'm working on a storyboard for amanda, where i'll design a layout to show the progression of her bump, to newborn, to little man. can't wait to share. enjoy~

i had so much fun with this super cute couple. majorly jealous of the fact that they are getting married and honeymooning in costa rica very very soon. they are so sweet and so in love, and i love how it's reflected in these images. best wishes to this happy couple!

adley and her entourage had driven all the way from nashville for this session, so the show had to go on despite the cold. i found this cute little wooded area that was getting some great noon sunlight (gasp). and then we mosey'd (is that a word?) on over to the little cabin on the square for a few shots. i love these.

yes, all of the above. but i think the best way to describe it is in charlie-speak (he's my three-year-old).

see whenever charlie likes something, he will never say "i like this." he always always always will say- "this is my favorite." everything is his favorite. "thank you for my ________, mommy. it's my favorite." 

so this past weekend was simply, my favorite.

also, today was the first time at a session that i incorporated my lensbaby, just for a little more artistry in a few shots. personally, i love being able to express a little variety and style to my clients, and these turned out better than i expected. (manual focusing/tilting + very mobile baby= just hope for the best). they look like watercolor paintings in a way. i kinda love it.

i know i have made this claim before with other babies, but this baby was ser-i-ous-ly the easiest newborn ever. i walked in, his mama (remember her?) had just fed him, and we posed and swaddled and took pictures for nearly 3 hours, and he never.made.a.peep. didn't need to be fed. didn't need anything. such a good baby with a head full of hair. a dream session. 

just a quick little sneak of tyler. remember when he was a newbie? can't believe he's all grown up...

we had a great session at shelby farms with tyler and his pups. we only froze him a little bit, but he was still a trooper. still can't believe all three looked right.at.me. in the second photo. not disclosing how many tries it took....

ha. i love little nate. remember when he was just a tiny little bean? i could just about eat him up. 

at one point, i was setting something up in one room and looked over and saw big sister playing quietly by herself in her room. had to grab this shot. not sure why, but it kind of melts my heart a little bit.
